We are an urban winery, located in Lodi, California, with a warm and friendly tasting room.
Our heritage is from Boston and Newport, RI. The Cabana name is from our days at the beach in Newport. RISK, our premium wine brand, stands for Robert, Irene, Sarah, Kelly & (son in law, Sam) the Smerling family. RISK Cabernet, is the pinnacle of 37 years of winemaking, winning numerous double gold medals.

Our Vineyards
Our grapes are sourced from vineyards located in Oakville, Napa Valley, Sonoma, Amador and Lodi . Each vineyard must meet our exact standards, and be sustainable and conserve water. We strive for low yields and high quality which allows us to make extraordinary wine.
Our Wines
“Wine making is an art” our team is dedicated to that art. We believe in using the best of the old-world winemaking methods, with some wonderful new world innovations. Our basic philosophy is to let the grapes do the work. We strive to capture the essence of each varietal. After fermentation we use a wide range of oak barrels from different regions of France. This is our “spice rack” for bring out the best in each wine. We are master blenders, making sure each wine is well aged, balanced and silky smooth. The proof is in each bottle.
