The 2022 vintage was big, with warm days and cool nights.The grapes were picked at 24 brix. Fermented in small lots over 8 days, to capture the dark purple color. Barrel aged in French Oak for 18 months to infuse the wine with oak tannins. The wine was filtered at bottling to ensure smooth drinking
Tasting Notes
“This wine is deep-purple hued with aromas of bramble blackberry, blueberry, violets, and dried sage. The palate has flavors of dried black plum, mulberry, black cherry, orange zest, and cardamom intertwined with chicory, chocolate, and a dry, silky finish. Decant for an hour and enjoy.”
Pairs well with BBQ, Italian and Mexican food, grilled meats, and bold cooking.
